The line has a decades-long tradition of excellence, and it entered its 13th generation in the 2015 model year. Both the 2019 Ford F-150 and the new 2020 model are included in this generation, and they both have an undeniable appeal. For 2020, the Ford F-150 has a few updates that may influence your trim selection.

Performance

The seven trims available for the 2019 model carry through to the 2020 Ford F-150, and their performance capabilities are unchanged. The entry-level powertrain is a Ti-VCT V6, a 3.3-liter engine that delivers 290 horsepower. A 2.7-liter EcoBoost, V6 engine is available in select trims with 325 horsepower. Another option is the 3.5-liter EcoBoost, V6 engine that generates 375 horsepower. At the top end of the spectrum, the Ford F-150 Raptor for both model years is outfitted with a high-output V6 EcoBoost, 3.0-liter engine that will impress you with 450 horsepower. To experience what these and other available powertrains deliver on the road, a test drive at Fort Mill Ford is the next natural step to take.

Appearance

The first three trims in the lineup for 2019 and 2020 are the F-150 XL, XLT and Lariat trim. These versions all are available with special appearance packages in the 2020 model year. Additional exterior features carry up to the 2020 model unchanged. The dual-bar chrome or black grille is standard on all trims except the beefy Raptor trim for both years. The Ford F-150 also has a muscular hood, and C-shaped LED headlights featuring sharp corners. Sides are smooth, with the exception of defined wheel wells and personality accents along with the lower side panels. During your upcoming trip to Fort Mills Ford, you can check out the unique appearance packages, color choices, and wheel options available for both years.

There are a few differences in the standard features for some trims between the 2019 and 2020 models. All trims now have a 4G LTE wireless hotspot as standard equipment. Numerous assistive and advanced driving technologies are available on the Lariat trim and all higher trim levels.
