On May 9th, Sonic Automotive joined forces with Make-A-Wish® Central and Western North Carolina to present the 5th annual Make-A-Wish Golf Classic at the Providence Country Club in Charlotte, NC.
We're excited to say that, as of now, we've raised over $60,000 towards our goal!
While this is Sonic's fifth year in a row presenting this fantastic charitable event, the Charlotte community has been benefitting from the gifts of golfers since 2009, when local Sunday golfing group "The Heathens" decided to start donating to their local Make-A-Wish chapter--and the rest is history.
To date, Heathen Golf has raised over $250,000 to grant the wishes of 42 children with life-threatening medical conditions.
All of the money raised from this event will go straight to Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina to assist in their efforts: this year along, this amazing program will grant the wishes of about 270 children.
