2023 Ford Mustang vs 2022 Ford Mustang
Serving Fort Mill, SC
The impressive Ford Mustang has maintained its status as an iconic muscle car over many decades. Its lasting appeal has been based on its power-driven performance capabilities and sleek, enviable façade. Our Fort Mill Ford sales agents often are asked about the Mustang's latest improvements. While the Mustang has progressively improved in all areas, Ford has not introduced improvements for the 2023 model year. Regardless of your selection of a 2022 Mustang or a 2023 version, you can expect your next vehicle to delight you at every turn.
Performance
Four powertrains are offered across the Mustang's five trims. The base engine is a turbo four-cylinder, 2.3-liter engine with either a manual or auto transmission option. This 310-horsepower system combines a line lock and a limited-slip rear differential. A high-performance version of this engine is available with EcoBoost, giving you 332 horsepower. This engine also is paired with a sport suspension, an active exhaust, paddle shifters, and upgraded brakes. If you opt for the Mustang GT, the 450-horsepower the V8 engine will be combined with rev-matching downshifts and a higher-gearing limited-slip differential. The Mach 1 trim benefits from 470 horsepower and comes with a Torsen limited-slip differential, a sport-tuned suspension, a special exhaust system, Brembo brakes, and adaptive dampers.
Appearance
While there are no differences in the Mustang's appearance between 2022 and 2023, there are trim-specific differences. Overall, the Mustang has aggressive, fastback styling with a swelling hood and vigorous definition racing across its sides. Its nose is modern, with a lean grille and stacked matrix-style headlights. Depending on the trim selected, your Mustang could have special graphics and badging, performance tires, up to 19-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, lower-side scoops, and other impressive features.
Features
The interior of the Mustang has a cockpit-like feel with a molded dashboard, a thick center console, and round air vents. Base-level features include Ford Co-Pilot360 technologies, remote vehicle monitoring, keyless entry, a wireless hotspot, and a keyless engine starter. The Mustang's higher trims may add a heated steering wheel, a navigation system, a cue ball shifting knob, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, a dual-zone climate control system, an advanced sound system, an 8-inch touch display screen, a digital gauge for the driver's instruments, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, and other quality features.
