The 2020 Ford F-150 has an impressive ranking of #2 among large trucks. Two trims that you can choose for the F-150 are the XLT and the Lariat. The XLT and the Lariat both get some changes in 2020 that make them even more appealing. New appearance packages are standard for both the XLT and the Lariat. They are both equipped with a 4G WiFi hotspot, which is now standard across the Ford F-150 lineup. The Lariat can also be configured with more advanced driver safety aids. High tow ratings and payload capacities are benefits of both trims, and you can get a variety of comfort and safety features with both.

Performance

Several different engines are available for the XLT and the Lariat. To start, the F-150 is configured with a 3.3L gasoline engine with six cylinders. This engine, which provides up to 290 HP, has plenty of power to handle your daily work and driving needs. This engine comes with a six-speed transmission, while the others get a 10-speed transmission. The next available engine is a 2.7L V6. This engine offers more power at 325 HP. You can also get a V8 engine for both trims that produces 395 HP and 400 LB-FT of torque, or upgrade to a turbocharged V6 engine that churns out 375 HP and 470 LB-FT of torque. The XLT and Lariat can be configured with a diesel engine that creates up to 250 HP.

Appearance

The XLT and Lariat vary slightly in appearance. The XLT, which is the second trim in the F-150 lineup, gets a more polished appearance than the base trim with alloy wheels replacing steel wheels and chrome accents. The Lariat gets even more exterior accents with chrome-accented bumpers. A two-bar chrome grille is also standard. Halogen fog lamps are included on the Lariat, and it also comes with a power locking tailgate. Daytime running lights are standard on both trim levels.

Features

This year, you can enjoy a more comfortable and connected ride with a large, user-friendly eight-inch infotainment display screen on both trim levels. A 4G WiFi hotspot is standard on the XLT and the Lariat as well. The Lariat gets more safety features through the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety suite, which is standard from this trim up.
