2022 Ford Explorer XLT vs 2022 Ford Explorer Limited
Serving Fort Mill, SC
The midsize Ford Explorer SUV is the three-row model that has maintained its appeal for drivers in Fort Mill and far beyond over the last few decades. Now that you are preparing to buy your next Explorer, you need to decide which of the eight trim levels is an excellent option. For 2022, the Explorer’s trims are the base, the XLT, the Limited, the ST-Line, the Timberline, the ST, the King Ranch, and the Platinum. Our customers at Fort Mill Ford often want to know about the important differences between the XLT and Limited trim levels.
Performance
The 2022 Ford Explorer XLT and Explorer Limited are powerful vehicles with excellent capabilities. They both receive 300 horsepower from a four-cylinder, turbocharged 2.3-liter engine. In addition to being paired with a 10-speed auto transmission, these trims are available with rear-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive.
Appearance
The 2022 Explorer has a long stance from front to rear with premium accentuation. Its striking design includes flat angles across the roof and hood as well as long, angled definition through the side panels. Both the sides and bumpers are enhanced by durable molding. At the Explorer’s front end, the grille has a detailed mesh with a hexagonal shape, and it is strongly connected to elongated, LED-topped headlights. Both trims have a power liftgate and roof rails. The Limited trim gives you 20-inch wheels and tinted headlights and taillights.
Features
Both trims have an 8-inch touch display screen, smart device app connections, a tri-zone auto climate control system, lane keeping, frontal collision avoidance, trailer sway control, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic sensing, heated front seats, USB ports, and second-row captain’s chairs. The Limited trim adds a navigation system, a wireless smartphone charger, a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, leather material, evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera, interior ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, heated seats in the second row and other equipment.
While our extensive inventory at Fort Mill Ford is frequently refreshed with high-quality options for our customers to consider, we often have a great selection of Explorer trims for you to check out. Contact Fort Mill Ford today to learn about our current Explorer SUVs inventory.
