2022 Ford Maverick vs 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz

Serving Fort Mill, SC

Your small truck options have grown with the introduction of the 2022 Ford Maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz. The Santa Cruz is dubbed a sports activity vehicle with a truck bed in the rear, and it is priced noticeably higher than the Maverick. These are only a few of the standout traits that you need to know before you make your next truck purchase in the Fort Mill area.

The Maverick is built on the same platform used for the Bronco Sport and the Escape, which has a prominent footprint. It is designed with the smooth surfaces and squared-off front end that other Ford trucks have. The grille has an innovative design with two chrome bars running horizontally. The tall, rectangular headlights flanking the grille create an encompassing unit on the nose. The 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz, on the other hand, has strong curvature through its profile and a short truck bed at the rear. The sides have crisp accents. On the nose, the radiating grille design has built-in headlights.

Both of these trucks have four-door cabins and can accommodate five passengers. The 2022 Ford Maverick’s interior shows a layered center stack and dashboard with an elevated infotainment system screen. The Santa Cruz’s display screen is embedded in the center stack. Both models have equipment like a keyless ignition, heated seats, smart device integration, an auto climate control, and a digital driver’s display screen at different trim levels.

The Ford Maverick’s base engine is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder system combined with an electric motor. This hybrid system puts out 191 horsepower, and it is connected to front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission. A turbocharged, all-gas engine is also available. The Santa Cruz, on the other hand, is only available with two gas engines. Its starting engine is a 191-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder system.
