The 2018 Ford Expedition is the newest vehicle from Ford to be put on the market and their most recent addition to the Expedition model series. The new Ford Expedition is a crossover SUV that has been equipped with some more modern features such as a turbocharged V6 engine and a newly designed instrument panel. Regarding vehicle performance, the standard Expedition can generate up to a 375 horsepower rating at up to 5,000 wheel rotations per minute and create 470 pounds per feet of torque. The vehicle runs on regular unleaded fuel and gets a modest 20 miles per gallon, gaining 17 mpg when on the regular road and 24 MPGs when on the highway. The Expedition contains a rear-wheel drive and has a new 10-speed shiftable automatic transmission.

Like all newer vehicles, the new Ford Expedition is equipped with all kinds of unique features and safety precautions to ensure that it is a safe and smooth ride. Being an SUV, the Expedition can seat a total of eight people and has 8-way power settings for both the driver and front passenger seat, as well as also being completely height adjustable. The seats are also decorated with cloth, though other trim models have a leather decoration. Special interior options include a voice-activated touch-screen navigation system and heated mirrors, as well as access to satellite radio and a total of nine audio speakers. The car also has cruise control, with both those and the sound settings mounted onto the steering wheel, with electric power steering. Keyless ignition is now included and so is climate control, along with interior air filtration. As far as safety goes, younger passengers are taken care of with the inclusion of rear door safety locks and child seating anchors. A post-collision safety system is included to keep track of the vehicle status in the event of an accident. Stability and traction control have all been improved, and there is also a tire pressure monitoring system that maintains a check of the wheels. Emergency braking assist is included in the event of a brake failure, and the driver needs to stop the vehicle quickly.
