For decades, the Ford Explorer has led the market in three-row SUVs. The unique design, expert styling, and value continue to shine through in the 2018 models. To add even more polish and choices to the exterior design, the Explorer, now comes with five new wheel styles to appeal to every personal preference. Ford is all about vehicle customization, and this is evident in the new exterior paint color choices: Blue Metallic, Cinnamon Glaze, Tinted Clearcoat, and Platinum Dune Tri-coat. In addition to these new options, Ford rolled out an updated front-grille design to convey a sportier look, as well as new quad exhaust tips on the Sport and Platinum trims.

In 2018, Ford decided to streamline its active safety features with a new Safe and Smart option package. By bundling some of the most popular safety options into one package, Ford continues to offer the latest in technological innovations in a convenient value-driven bundle. Available on the XLT, Limited, and Sports trims, the Safe and Smart package includes rain-sensing windshield wipers, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam headlamps. The package is standard on the Platinum trim, offering drivers the ultimate in peace of mind while on the road. Ford has expanded its options list with the availability of the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, boasting the capability of connecting with up to ten separate devices. Still standard on all Explorers are a bevy of useful features including Bluetooth capabilities and voice commands.
