 What's New for the 2018 Ford Taurus?

The Taurus has not had a substantial redesign since 2010, and that won't change for 2018. The only real change for the 2018 model is that Ford has dropped the optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine from its lineup. The Ford Taurus comes in four different trim packages, beginning with the base SE trim comes with 18-inch Sparkle Silver aluminum wheels, a sports mode, six-way adjustable front seats, a 4.2-inch center display screen, a SYNC infotainment system and an SOS Post-Crash Alert system. The SEL trim package comes with an integrated remote start system, rear parking alert sensors, a multi-zone climate control system, illuminated rearview mirror and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter.

The Limited Trim package upgrades the extras substantially, beginning with 19-inch Luster Nickel Painted aluminum wheels. You'll also find a leather and wood wrapped and heated steering wheel, 10-way power heated and cooled front seats, individually heated back seats, leather-trimmed seats, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, power rear sunshades, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto-dimming side view mirrors, power adjustable pedals and special front floor mats. The top-of-the-line high-performance SHO trim package comes with 20-inch Ebony Black-painted machined aluminum wheels, all-wheel drive, dual exhaust system with chrome exhaust tips, a sport-tuned suspension system along with unique SHO exterior and interior branding. There is also an optional SHO performance package available, which includes a performance suspension, tires, and brake pads, along with unique stability modes.
